Summer Program

The Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Teachers' Program is an intensive three week learning and living experience in Washington, DC, Poland, Germany and Israel for U.S. secondary school teachers who are committed to teaching about the Holocaust and Jewish resistance in their classes upon completion of the program. This year's program is scheduled for July 1–21, 2012. more

The National Alumni Conference

On February 17–20, 2012, the alumni of the program will meet at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. for a celebration of the 27th anniversary of our seminar. We hope to greet as many alumni as possible and to share an exciting program that will focus on the multiple forms of telling the story of the Holocaust: eye witness testimony, diaries and memoirs, art, film, and artifacts. Please mark your calendars for this important event. A registration form is attached to this notice. Please send it along with your check. Hotel reservations are to be made on your own. Remember to reference the American Gathering group for our special discount. more

Natalie Cimbol

Our sincere thanks to Natalie Cimbol, program secretary, who has retired after many years of excellent service above and beyond the call of duty. She will be missed by our program officers and the many alumni with whom she came in contact through phone, email, and at the alumni conferences. Natalie served as Vladka Meed's secretary for many years and has always been a champion for the HAJRTP. Enjoy your retirement, Natalie!
